Chillida

Glasur Anthrazit-Messing.
In the courtyard is a heavy-looking ceramic sculpture, which I probably made 2014. Glaze anthracite brass.

At that time, I wanted to build a sculpture based on Chillida, and the above fragment was a first test of what a fragment of such a larger sculpture might look like. Unfortunately, I did not pursue the topic any further because a proper planning would have been necessary – that’s not how I worked.
In 2013/2014 there was an exhibition at the Lothar Fischer Museum in Neumarkt, which had inspired me at the time:

From November 2018 to March 2019 there is now another Chillida exhibition to find, which I will certainly look at.

Röhrenobjekt / Tubes

Keramik/Ceramics

Röhrenobjekt

English below

Ich habe Spaß an Röhren. An einfachen geometrische Formen.

Gut Ding will Weile haben.

I enjoy tubes, simple geometrical shapes.

I can monkeys, figures, faces, birds, insects, dancers, whatever, but simple geometric shapes attract me.

This object still needs to be adequately presented, presumably on a pedestal. Good things will take a while.

Rotes Objekt / red object

Wieder mal was Keramisches…

Again something ceramic …

Rot1

I constructed this object manually from a hemisphere.

I have gradually attached 5 round stripes, inside and finally introduced the “lid” manually with bitty construction.

As so often, at first I had a vague idea of an object to be created, but it did not materialize (at least as I went to the process), so the object evolved in the process to that final form.
