On a holy ground

A few days ago I visited the “Ammersfeld” near Aschfeld in Main-Spessart.
Someone from the Nature Conservation Association had made me aware of this dry grassland, which I did not know so far.
When I arrived in the area, it was very hot but windy. Nobody was to be seen and heard.
As soon as I had walked along a path in the meadows, butterflies were fluttering high, a large swallowtail crossed my path.
It was like a dream. There was a feeling in me to move on a sacred ground:
Here the nature was in order, pure life took place.
Something like devotion emerged, inner peace, belonging. Here, I felt, I arrived.
I stayed for 90 minutes, enough to take a deep breath.
