I mean, the ovipositor, is spread into three parts, that what I find interesting.
Do you think, that it can post eggs thrree times simultaneously?
I found out that just the one in the middle is for eggs. The two other parts are supporting legs for it to stand safely when laying eggs. Before finding this I always thought that it had one thick ovipositor. I really was surprised when I touched the insect and it split in three.
Man fragt sich oft, wozu die langen Beine, wozu die langen Antennen, etc. etc. Man gibt zu, die Natur wird es wohl am besten wissen. Super shot, Gerhard!

Same thing, when I found, that at least some sorts of bees have a divided stick to pour out nectar.
